Meet the RHCC Management Team

Darren Berkman, CCM
General Manager
Darren Berkman is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and Associate of Applied Science degree in Hotel, Restuarant Management. Darren is an active member of the Carolinas Chapter of the CMAA. He was the Assistant General Manager at the Peninsula Club before joining the team at Rolling Hills CC in 2011.

Greg McDanel, CGCS
Greens Superindendent
Greg McDanel has been employed at Rolling Hills Country Club since 1980. He is an active member of the GCSCAA, Carolinas Golf Course Superindendent Association, North South Turf Grass Association and the Turf Grass Council of NC. He became CGCS certified in 1993. Greg and his wife, Tracey have three children; Holly, Will and Joanne.

Jeff Avant, PGA
Head Golf Professional
Jeff attended and graduated from Methodist College. He majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Managament. He went to work at Hillandale Golf Course in Durham, NC in 1996. Hillandale GC was nationally recognized as one of the "top 100 Golf Shops" inthe country every year since 1988. Jeff worked there until July 2005 when he was hired as the Head Golf Professional at Rolling Hills CC. He became a Class "A" member of the PGA of America in February of 2005. Jeff and his wife Diane have two children; Corey and Lindsey.

Josh Perruquet
Assistant Golf Professional
Josh Perruquet was born in Danville, PA and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in December of 2011 with a degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management with the opeion of Professional Golf Management. Josh interened at Rolling Hills CC prior to being promoted to assistant gofl professional in August 2011. Aside from playing golf Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenn and daughter, Joanna, as well as hunting and playing and watching all different kinds of sports.

Sharon King-Kilts
Membership Marketing Coordinator
Sharon was raised in neighboring Anson County. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from UNC-Wilmington in 1999. She was hired at Rolling Hills CC in 2006 when they first created the position of Membership Marketing Coordinator. Sharon is an active member of the Greater Charlotte Areas PCMA (Private Club Marketing Association). When not a Rolling Hills Country Club she spends time with her husband, Randy and son, Landon.

Mark Sitzer
Executive Chef
Mark Sitzer is originally from Chatham, NY. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 1988 from the Providence Campus. He has worked in Clubs in Palm Beach, Florida, Hickory, Highlands and in Winston-Salem. He married his wife, Caroline in 2000. They have three children; Madelyn, Olivia and Jacob.

Caitlin Miller
Clubhouse Manager
Caitlin Miller is a native of Orlando, Florida. She moved to the Charlotte area in 2004 after 10 years of living on the West Coast. Caitlin worked at the Penninsula Club for five years before joining the team at Rolling Hills Country Club as Clubhouse Manager. In Caitlin's spare time she is a big sports enthusianst and can likely be found at some type of sporting event. She currently resides in Davidson with her boyfriend Brandon.

Lindsay Kocis
Food and Beverage Supervisor
Lindsay Kocis moved to the Charlotte area from Savannah, GA in 2002. She worked at The Club at Longview for 5 years before joining the team at Rolling Hills CC. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's degree in Public Administration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.

Daniel Habicht
Clubhouse Maintenance
Daniel Habicht is a native of Detriot, Michigan. He moved to Charlotte in 1992. He was with the Target Stores for 13 years before joining the Rolling Hill's team in 2008. He lives in Indian Trail with his wife of nine years, Lauren.
